"დიდების მემორიალი ქუთაისში 1982 წელს გაიხსნა. მონუმენტი საბჭოთა კავშირის ფაშიზმზე გამარჯვების აღსანიშნავად დადგეს , თუმცა ისტორია არც აქ დაწყებულა და არც აქ მთავრდება. მემორიალი დროს დაყვებოდა და აკვირდებოდა ქალაქის , ქვეყნის პეიზაჟს. ქუთაისს დარჩა ნაგებობა , რომელიც სულაც არ იყო გამარჯვების სიმბოლო , პირიქით ეს მონუმენტი ახსენებდა ყველას თუ როგორც ვმარცხდებოდით , როგორც "სახელმწიფო" და როგორც ადამიანები , იქცა როგორც "შეკრების" აგრეთვე სისხლიანი გარჩევების ადგილად. ეს იყო არქივი , რომელიც ყველაზე კარგად ინახავდა როგორც წარსულ , ისე თანამედროვე ისტორიას , ისტორიებს. მემორიალი ყოველთვის , ყველაზე კარგად გვახსენებდა "რანი ვართ""
Ქუთაისის მემორიალი 2009 წელს დაანგრიეს, შენობის დანგრევას შეეწირა დედა და შვილი.

"The Glory Memorial was built in Kutaisi in 1982. The monument was a symbol to celebrate the victory of the Soviet Union over fascism, but history neither began nor ended here; The memorial observed the city and the country and overtime became a building that was not at all a symbol of victory, on the contrary - this monument reminded everyone of how we were failing as a "state" and as people and became a place of Bloody gatherings. It was an archive filled with information about past and modern history with it’s stories, The Memorial reminded us daily of what we are and have become.”
Memorial eventually was demolished in 2009, Mother and child were killed in the process.
